Bright Side Roofing Roofs for Valor crew and veteran home project

About Roofs for Valor

We believe in honoring our heroes through more than just words. With every roof sold, we provide much-needed roof repairs to veterans who have given so much to our country. It's a simple way to say thank you, but it’s a gesture that can make a big difference.

In the news

In summer 2026, Roofs for Valor replaced the roof of a disabled Air Force veteran in Smyrna, at no cost to him or his family. When you choose Bright Side Roofing for your roof, part of your project helps make the next one possible.

Frequently asked questions

Who is eligible?

To qualify, you must be a U.S. military veteran. This includes active-duty members, retired veterans, or those honorably discharged. You also need to own and live in the home that needs the roof repair. Lastly, you’ll need to show that you’re facing financial hardship, so we can make sure the help goes where it’s needed most.

What types of roof repairs are covered?

We cover important repairs that keep homes safe and dry. This can include fixing leaks, replacing missing or damaged shingles, repairing flashing and roof underlayment, and patching up minor storm damage. We don’t offer full roof replacements through this program, but we do try to help with repairs that make a real difference.

How often are applications reviewed?

We look over all applications every few months (quarterly). Once we get your application, you’ll get a confirmation, and we’ll let you know what to expect. If you apply right after a review period ends, don’t worry — your application will go into the next round automatically.

Can I nominate a veteran?

Yes. If you know a veteran who could use this kind of help, please share this page with them or reach out to us. While the veteran needs to fill out the application themselves, we’re happy to walk them through the process or answer any questions along the way.

How does the funding work?

The Valor Roof Project is funded by our customers and our team. A portion of every roof goes to helping veterans through Roofs for Valor. That means when someone hires us, they’re also helping a veteran in need. It’s a way for all of us to give back together.

Thank you for helping us give back!
