ROOF DAMAGE INSURANCE CLAIMS
Unfortunately, homeowners often must deal with the harsh reality of the devastating damage storms can do. Wind, hail, debris, and trees can cause minor or severe damage if the conditions are right. If roof damage, in particular, goes unchecked, further water or structural damage can occur over time.
At Bright Side Roofing, we’ve helped countless homeowners file insurance claims. We’re experts in the roofing industry that can help you solve your roofing issues and file successful claims. As roofing insurance can be quite complicated, let’s take a closer look at the process and how we can help.
THE PROCESS
If you believe your roof has experienced storm damage Bright Side is ready to help you process your claim.
1. ASSESS DAMAGE
First, you should look around your home both inside and out. Storm damage often shows itself as loose or missing shingles on the roof of your home and circular stains on your walls or ceilings where water may be getting in on the inside. If you see anything that does not look right call Bright Side who will come out and do a free evaluation and explain the insurance process.
2. REVIEW YOUR POLICY
Your Bright Side Rep will review your policy with you and explain what may or may not be covered as well as explain any deductible you might have.
3. CONTACT YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY
After understanding the process, it is now time to contact your insurance provider. They will open a claim and arrange for an inspection from one of their field adjusters.
4. RECEIVE YOUR INSURANCE REPORT
Once your inspection is complete within a week or so you will receive a report stating what the insurer is willing to cover. Don’t get nervous this is where the expertise of your Bright Side rep will help. If your report is satisfactory, we can go ahead and schedule the job if not Bright Side will reach out to your insurer for a conversation that may result in getting additional items or expenses approved.
5. SCHEDULE YOUR JOB
Once coverage is agreed upon, the Bright Side team will arrange to get your roof back to how it was prior to the storm. We then follow up with all documentation pictures etc, to your insurer.
